OBSBOT Tiny 2 Test & Diagnostic Tool
Start the test below to check your OBSBOT Tiny 2, Tiny 2 Lite or Tiny SE. Like the Insta360 Link these are gimbal cameras that physically pan and tilt to follow you, but OBSBOT goes further on control — adding voice commands to the gesture set — and uses a larger sensor on the Tiny 2.

Expected Performance
OBSBOT Tiny Specifications & Expected Performance
The Tiny 2's 1/1.5-inch sensor is larger than the 1/2-inch sensor in the Insta360 Link, which is the main reason reviewers consistently rate its low-light performance higher.
| Model | Resolution & frame rate | Optics / sensor | Other |
|---|---|---|---|
| OBSBOT Tiny 2 | Up to 4K at 30fps | 1/1.5" CMOS | Gimbal, AI tracking, auto zoom, HDR at 4K30 |
| OBSBOT Tiny SE | 1080p | Smaller sensor | Gimbal and AI tracking at a much lower price |
| OBSBOT Tiny 2 Lite | Positioned between the SE and the Tiny 2 | — | Check current specifications before buying |
The Tiny 2 has a magnesium alloy body weighing around 142g, a magnetic base and a clip mount, plus a front-facing status light that shows tracking and gesture state. One meaningful advantage over the Insta360 Link: HDR is available at 4K30 rather than being limited to 1080p.
Troubleshooting
Troubleshooting OBSBOT Tiny Issues
1. Gesture control is not registering
The problem: You raise your hand but the camera does not react.
The fix: The status light on the front tells you what the camera has understood, so watch it rather than the video while testing gestures. Gestures need your hand fully in frame, held steady for a moment, and enough light for the camera to resolve it. In a dim room gesture recognition degrades noticeably before the video does.
2. The gimbal moves but tracking feels jittery
The problem: The camera follows you, but the motion is not smooth.
The fix: Tracking speed and mode are configurable in OBSBOT Center. A slower tracking speed produces much more watchable footage for streaming, where constant micro-corrections are distracting. The default is tuned for keeping you centred rather than for smooth motion.
3. The camera parks itself facing down
The problem: It appears dead, pointing at the desk.
The fix: This is sleep mode rather than a fault — OBSBOT cameras rotate down to cover the lens when idle, which doubles as a privacy position. It wakes when an application requests the camera. If it does not, close the app fully and reopen so the camera is re-requested.
Software
OBSBOT Center
Without OBSBOT Center the camera still works as a plain webcam, but tracking, gestures and voice commands are all unavailable or fixed at defaults.
