Neither camera supports 1080p, and neither has autofocus. Both use fixed-focus lenses, which means sharpness depends entirely on your distance from the camera rather than on any setting.

Common Problems With This Camera
1. The image is soft and will not sharpen
The problem: Video looks slightly out of focus regardless of what you adjust.
The fix: These cameras have fixed focus, so there is no focus setting to correct. Sharpness is determined purely by distance: they are optimised for roughly an arm's length from the lens. Sitting too close is the most common cause of a soft image, and moving back to around 50–70cm usually resolves it immediately.
2. Very grainy video indoors
The problem: Heavy visible noise, particularly in the evening or in a room without much daylight.
The fix: Small budget sensors amplify a weak signal aggressively in low light, and grain is the direct result. No setting removes it — more light does. A single lamp positioned in front of you rather than behind makes a far larger difference to these cameras than to more expensive ones, because they have less sensor performance to fall back on.
3. Only 720p when the box mentioned HD
The problem: The test reports 1280×720 and you expected 1080p.
The fix: 720p is the correct and maximum resolution for both models. "HD" in the product name refers to 720p. If you need 1080p, it requires different hardware — no driver or setting unlocks it here.
