Logitech's own product page specifies 1080p at 60fps with a 78-degree field of view. If a review or retailer listing claims 4K on this model, it is incorrect.

The StreamCam connects over USB-C rather than USB-A, which matters if your machine only has older ports — you will need an adapter. It also ships with two mounting options, and rotating the camera in its mount is what switches it into vertical video.

Troubleshooting Logitech StreamCam Issues

1. Autofocus keeps shifting while you talk

The problem: Focus drifts as you move, because the StreamCam uses facial-tracking AI to drive both autofocus and exposure rather than fixing on a set distance.

The fix: This is the camera working as designed, but it can be distracting on a stream. Logitech Capture lets you switch focus and exposure to manual — set them at your normal seating position and the shifting stops. Improving your lighting also reduces how often the tracking has to correct itself.

2. Vertical video is not working

The problem: You rotate the camera but the output stays landscape, or the framing is wrong.

The fix: Vertical mode is a software feature rather than an automatic one: rotating the camera physically is only half of it. Logitech Capture detects the orientation and produces the 9:16 output. Without Capture running, most applications will simply receive a rotated landscape image.

3. The camera is not detected on an older machine

The problem: Nothing appears, or it works intermittently.

The fix: The StreamCam is USB-C only. Adapters and hubs are the usual culprit — a passive USB-C-to-USB-A adapter on a USB 2.0 port does not provide the bandwidth for 1080p60, and the camera may fall back or fail entirely. Connect to a USB 3.0 port directly, and avoid daisy-chaining through a dock or monitor.

Nearly everything that distinguishes the StreamCam from a cheaper 1080p60 camera lives in the software, so it is worth installing rather than running the camera bare.
